This family-friendly festival raises awareness of green issues and aims to be an ethical alternative to the more mainstream music events. There is a wide selection of music at the festival including something for every taste - featuring rock, metal and indie to folk, pop, DJs, and the downright strange.

2000trees Festival returns for a fourth year on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th July at Upcote Farm, Withington, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

FRIDAY
Kicking off the main stage on Friday is 2010 Brit winner DIZZEE RASCAL making a triumphant return as the prodigal son to East London, where it all started for him. CHASE & STATUS will ensure a super charged atmosphere with their hi-energy show, while NOISETTES and, another Brit Award winner ELLIE GOULDING will in turn add huge doses of charm and finesse to the Main Stage.

While the Main Stage represents the biggest and best in contemporary dance and pop, over on the Gaymers Stage we will be keeping it cool with Brighton indie rockers THE MACCABEES headlining with support from CHEW LIPS, and a lot more to come.

Friday will also play host to the hottest names on the dance scene with Italian DJ duo CROOKERS making their only London appearance this coming summer, superstar club DJ’s BRODINSKI and SINDEN and arguably Europe’s hottest DJ property for 2010, RIVA STARR joining the bill on the Relentless Energy Stage. Over in the NYC Downlow, ZINC AND DYNAMITE MC, TODDLA T, MJ COLE and 2009’s favourite producer JOY ORBISON will be keeping things mighty real and on a London festival exclusive

SATURDAY
Two words: ROXY MUSIC. Not a lot needs to be said about these legendary art rock pioneers who'll be bringing their style, sophistication and pure cool to the headline slot on the Main Stage on Saturday night. They’re a band we’ve been after for ages but they don’t come around very often so after a 5 year break from performing live we're rather pleased (*understatement!) about this London exclusive.

The newly formed MARK RONSON & THE BUSINESS will be lending their heavyweight support and continuing Mr Ronson's long association Lovebox. In Mark’s own words – “Lovebox is the first festival that ever let me perform with the Version players (my band). And to go from that memory in 2006 to playing their last year...is really something. We will certainly do our best to make this our best Lovebox performance yet”. Thank you Mark!

EMPIRE OF THE SUN’s debut album was the soundtrack to the last year to millions of people around the world, and in their first ever London show they'll be headlining the Gaymers Stage with a breathtaking stage production in what is a massive coup for Lovebox.

The critically acclaimed WILD BEASTS are a must see act, and if you haven’t yet heard of beautiful soul enchantress ROX you certainly will have come July. Finally, Jon Fratelli’s new project, CODEINE VELVET CLUB, whose good times set would grace any festival in the world.

Headlining the big Relentless Energy dance stage are internationally renowned BOOKA SHADE, who along with JESSE ROSE, HENRIK SCHWARZ LIVE and DIXON (INNERVISIONS) will be turning this arena into a small corner of Berlin via Frankfurt.

Finally an East v West London Soundclash in the NYC DOWNLOW. Here East London’s WORK IT will go head to head with West London institution YO YO in the Downlow's amazingly accurate reincarnation of a New York City tenement block complete with whores, pimps and freaks galore.

SUNDAY
The immortal GRACE JONES will bringing her ever revolutionary flair for subversion to the headline slot on Sunday just above electro-pop juggernauts HOT CHIP, fresh from the critical success of their brand new album One Life Stand.

Over on the Gaymers Stage CHROMEO will be tearing up proceedings with their electronic funk and joined by returning Aussie heroes CUT COPY, in another Lovebox UK festival exclusive will be dazzling audiences with their beautiful, nostalgia streaked pop, while the glam disco machine known as HERCULES & LOVE AFFAIR will enthral once more with their irrepressible, glitter-strewn music.

Also along for the ride are renowned pop provocateur PEACHES, the much buzzed about and deliciously offbeat new duo SILVER COLUMNS, and moody new upstarts HURTS, who pricked up ears last year with their wonderfully dark and disturbed single Wonderful Life. London most cutting edge club institutions will all be hosting arena’s on Sunday, including DISCO BLOODBATH, TRAILER TRASH, WET YOURSELF and Lovebox stalwarts HORSE MEAT DISCO.

In addition, the incomparable JONNY WOO – performance artist/entertainer nonpareil – will be compeering the main stage along with his troupe of club freaks and drag queens, which will include a unique, one-off fashion show by DR NOKI NHS. His fiercely individual, recycled clothing has found devotees in the likes of Lady Gaga and Beyonce, as well as an innovative art collaboration with CENTRAL ST MARTINS in support of the charity ART AGAINST KNIVES, which works towards reducing knife crime by engaging young people in troubled areas with art and fashion-based workshops. All in all, an exciting and compelling day out, and a fitting finale to a great weekend.

So, there we have it, for now at least...

There are lots more names and arena’s to come over the coming weeks and months which will deliver the best and biggest Lovebox ever, now stretching over all 3 days of the blessed weekend. Stay tuned to www.lovebox.net and the Lovebox official facebook, You Tube channel – LoveboxTV – which has a selection of quality vids for your delectation.

Tickets are available now by clicking here and we’ve kept the pricing simples - £45 for one day, £80 for two days and £99 for those with true stamina and can go for all 3 days (plus booking fees).
